At the end of October 2017 at the Toyota Motor Show, Toyota will present the concept sedan Crown Concept. It’s not hard to guess that the novelty is a harbinger of the serial Toyota Crown of the new (fifteenth generation) generation. Toyota Crown Concept seems to be quite a model ready for serial production, although officially the assembly of cars should begin only in the summer of 2018. A distinctive feature of the new generation four-door is the windows in the rear roof racks, which none of the previous generations had. Toyota Crown 2018-2019 in the new generation body is based on the global TNGA platform, while the overall dimensions of the sedan are 4,910, 1,800 and 1,455 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the model is 2 920 millimeters (+ 70). At the moment, Toyota is developing a car in the Nurburgring. Before the Japanese, the task is to give the car a driving character. Unfortunately, there is no information on the technical stuffing and dynamic characteristics of the new items, however, it is expected that the sedan will retain the rear drive and the longitudinal arrangement of the engine. The Japanese reported that Toyota Crown 2018 received the ITS Connect system, which debuted for the first time on its predecessor and allows the car to exchange information with other road users and road infrastructure objects. Plus, there is also a remote diagnostics system that periodically sends information about the status of various systems to the service center. Crown is not supplied to the market, but we are waiting for the new Camry on the same chassis in early 2018.
