Mercedes introduced the next crossover MLC in concept form

At the Beijing Auto Show 2014 Mercedes-Benz company has presented to the public a prototype Concept Coupe, the first photo that appeared on the network in a couple of weeks before the opening of the exhibition.
It is expected that this concept is a pre-production version of the new Mercedes MLC (later it became known that the model decided to name GLE Coupe) – his debut is scheduled for 2015. Rumors about the appearance of this model have been circulating for a long time, and its main competitor will be BMW X6 2 generations.
It is expected that the new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is based on the crossover ML-Class (W166), the latter will soon receive a restyled version. Most likely, it will be executed as the front again in the style of Concept Coupe.
Overall length of the prototype is 4935 mm (size of the wheelbase – 2916), width – 2044, height – 1 739. Thus, in all areas of the car was a bit more than the BMW X6.
Among other features Mercedes Concept Coupe, we note large 22-inch wheels on the tire dimension 305/45, LED head optics, illumination and color thresholds in a special body color Silver Arrows.
Under the hood, the crossover is located 3.0-liter gasoline engine V6 with a twin-turbocharged, 333 hp outstanding and 480 Nm of torque at peak. Thrust is transmitted to all wheels through a 9-band automatic transmission. Also, a car equipped with adaptive air suspension and anti-roll system Active Curve System.
For the future of Mercedes-Benz MLS projected use of powertrains from ML-Class, including the “Quartet”, as well as engines V6 and V8. Later, of course, and will be “charged” version of the company AMG, to give battle to the BMW X6 M.
Sales of new items will begin approximately at the end of 2015, and the price is likely to be somewhat higher than model ML.
