At the Los Angeles Auto Show 2013 debut the production version of the compact Lincoln MKC crossover, a prototype of which was shown earlier this year at the motor show in Detroit. This production-ready car is virtually identical to the concept. Overall length of the off-road vehicle is 4 550 mm (size of the wheelbase – 2712), width – 1932, height – 1607. The design of the car is made in the current company style with double grille, each sector is combined with narrow headlights and rear light, stretching the full width of the trunk lid, reminiscent of similar to the Audi Q5. The latter, along with models like the BMW X3, Mercedes GLS and Range Rover Evoque appear on the main competitors of the new Lincoln MKC, but the native American market promises to be the most affordable – the price for it will start from 34,000 dollars. Transmission for both – dedicated six automatic and all-wheel drive and adaptive suspension available as an option. The equipment included Lincoln MKC MyLincoln Touch multimedia system with 8-inch touch screen and voice control, and a host of safety systems, including monitoring of blind zones, compliance tiering traffic collision avoidance, parking assistant and others. Production models will establish the company, and its sales in the US will begin in the summer of 2014.
