At the Detroit Motor Show in 2013 the world premiere of the all-new Lexus IS sedan of the third generation, but the picture with the image of news hit the net a week before the opening of the exhibition.
As expected, the external appearance of the Lexus IS (2016) was very similar to the concept shown in Paris LF-CC Coupe – a car got a new trademark grille in the form of an hourglass, head optics with LED sections in the form of a boomerang taillights and unusual shapes.

The interior of the new Lexus IS (2016) changed significantly. Front panel with two-story architecture, is made in the style of the older models in the cabin, a new steering wheel and instrument panel, and the quality of finishing materials have improved markedly.
The base engine for the sedan remains the same 2.4-liter petrol V6 204 hp, and it is an alternative to the 250-horsepower 3.5-liter “six”. Both engine aggregated paired with 8-band machine, and present in the line of cars not only back, but also to all-wheel drive.
Also, the Lexus IS has got a hybrid modification 300h, which includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that runs on the Atkinson cycle, the electric motor, battery pack and a CVT. The total return of such installation is equal to 220 “horses”, the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle – only 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
In the autumn of 2015 in the European market started taking orders for the IS 200t sedan with two-liter turbo engine from the crossover Lexus NX. This sedan crossed its 238 to 245 hp and 350 Nm torque. From zero to hundreds of such accelerated version 7.0, and the maximum speed is limited to 230 km/h. Average fuel consumption is claimed at 7,0l/100 km.
Another good news was the appearance package F Sport, which includes recalibrated suspension (Adaptive is available as an option), the electronic instrument panel of the Lexus LFA supercar, as well as an aerodynamic body kit with more aggressive bumpers, a different grille, with two tailpipes of the exhaust system and EXCLUSIVE discs.
European sales of the new Lexus IS 3 began in the summer of 2014, and to the dealers the first commodity cars reached in September. Price initial version of the sedan Lexus IS 250 at the time of the sale begins with a mark of $39,000, and Hybrid IS 300h dealers requested from $41,400. In this modification, both in top trim Luxury worth more than $45,400.
