Jaguar Land Rover will develop a new three-liter engine

The publication Autocar reports that in 2017 a group of Jaguar Land Rover is planning to go with V-shaped six-cylinder in-line engines. According to media reports, the release of the new 3.0-liter engines will establish a factory in Wolverhampton in English, while the volume of production at the plant will be doubled – from 50 to 100 thousand units of power per year. It is expected that the new gasoline engine will be offered in three versions – a capacity of 300, 400 or 500 hp. As for the diesel generator, then, depending on boost its output will be 275, 335 or 400 “horses”. Jaguar Land Rover Specialists are planning to use new engines in sedans XE and Jaguar XF. In addition, the three-liter engines will join the powertrain line of SUVs the Jaguar F-Pace, the Range Rover Sport, as well as the new generation Land Rover Discovery 5.
