Flagship crossover Alfa Romeo will receive a hybrid installation

Communicating with journalists of the edition of Auto Express, the technical director of Alfa Romeo Roberto Fideli said that the developing flagship crossover of the brand will receive a power unit with a capacity of about 400 hp.
As a platform for a new all-terrain vehicle, Italians use a stretched chassis on which the Giulia sedan and the Stelvio crossover are based, while the future all-terrain vehicle will be about 200 kg heavier than the latter.
In addition, it became known that the still unnamed model from Alfa Romeo will become the so-called “soft” hybrid. In its motion will result in a 2.0-liter petrol turbo-quadruple with an electric drive and a 48-volt electric system.
With regard to performance, then, depending on the settings, the technical filling of the car will give from 350 to 400 “horses.” According to Roberto Fideli, such a crossover will appear in the market in 2020.
