At the Siemens Engineering and Research Center in Berlin, a seminar was held in which representatives of Audi talked about their first production electric crossover e-Tron. During the event, it became known that the product variant of the model developed on the C-BEV platform would receive two electric motors (the concept version had three). Power engines are not officially announced, but according to the publication Autocar, the total output of the aggregates is 326 hp. Brand employees stated that the Audi e-throne (photo and price) is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 95 kWh. It is located under the floor and consists of 36 blocks, each of which has 12 cells LG Chem and Samsung. The claimed range of the electric car is at least 400 km, but in ideal conditions, the car will be able to travel more than 500 kilometers without recharging. Increased power reserve is facilitated by a built-in 11 kW generator (optional – 22 kW), which recharges the batteries while driving. According to the representatives of Audi, it is possible to replenish the stock of batteries from both the usual household electric system for 230 V and from the 400-volt three-phase network (it will take approximately 8.5 hours to fully charge). Recharge capacity can be from a 150-kilowatt terminal with a direct current. It is known that the Audi e-Tron 2019 (specifications) received a liquid cooling system with a plate heat exchanger, which maintains the operating temperature of the batteries in the range from 22 to 35 degrees Celsius. It is located under the floor and occupies part of the space under the rear seat. The total weight of the batteries and the cooling system is 700 kg.
