A few days before its debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2011, Buick introduces the official photos of the new Verano sedan 2012 model year. Novelty is based on a global platform Delta II, the first of General Motors used on a sedan Chevrolet Cruze. And apparently Buick Verano gives us an idea of how it will look Opel Astra sedan last generation. From the last Buick differs only branded grille, different optics and other tail lights, as well as higher quality interior materials. The base engine for the Verano will be a 2.4-liter Ecotec power of 177 hp (230 Nm), is mounted in a pair with six-step automatic transmission. With him it is able to collect a hundred sedan from standstill in 8.0 seconds, which is not very fast. In the future, GM promises to provide a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine. Despite the approaching debut on sale the new Buick Verano will go to the United States only in the fourth quarter of this year. Pricing has not been announced.
