In the network appeared photos of the Jeep Commander crossover, which will be presented in April at the Auto Show in Beijing. The car will become the largest car in the line of the American brand, it will have three rows of seats, designed for seven and eight passengers.
Judging by the photo published by one of the Chinese sites, the front of the car will stylistically intersect with the updated Cherokee: narrow headlights, large radiator grille, fog-light unit integrated into the front bumper. The tail lights are also strikingly similar to those on the Cherokee.
The SUV not only has a large wheelbase, but also a long rear overhang. That is, the car will have a very spacious cabin and the third row will be designed for adult passengers.
Technical details are still unknown. Most likely the Jeep Grand Commander will receive a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine with a power of 272 hp. In this version, the machine has a “soft” hybrid installation, where the electric motor manages the starter and the power of the secondary electrician.
Jeep Grand Commander is extremely important for the American brand: China has become the second largest after North America market for cars for the brand. However, judging by the size, Grand Commander has every chance to appear in other markets. For example, in the US, where it will compete with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.
