BMW 225xe Active Tourer – a hybrid modification BMW Active Tourer 2 with the possibility of recharging the battery from the mains. World premiere BMW 225xe, as well as implementing a similar scheme for the “3-Series hybrid” the BMW 330e, took place at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015.
The basis for the creation of BMW 225xe Active Tourer took front-wheel drive with a 1.5-liter turbo engine capacity of 136 hp, which complemented the 88-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle and a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 7.7 kWh.
