At the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 2013 he was shown a concept Italdesign Parcour, which found its continuation in the prototype Audi Nanuk Quattro V10 Diesel, presented at the motor show in Frankfurt.
Outwardly, the two models are very similar, but because the body studio Italdesign Giugiaro belongs to the Volkswagen concern, as well as company Audi, the use of ready-made ideas and developments on the concept of Parcour Nanuk legally perfectly legal.
The main idea of ‚Äč‚Äčthis project – to combine the speed and dynamics of a sports car with the crossover capabilities. For this sport squat body placed on the chassis with adaptive height-adjustable suspension and large wheels, providing an impressive ground clearance.
As the name suggests, in motion Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept leads the V-shaped ten-diesel TDI engine displacement of 5.0 liters. It is located longitudinally in front of the rear axle and develops 544 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, which is transmitted to all wheels through a seven-speed transmission S tronic.
Despite the weight of 1 900 kg, the concept boasts excellent dynamic performance: acceleration from zero to hundred takes him 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. The average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is claimed at 7.8 liters per hundred kilometers.
Among other things, Audi Nanuk Quattro V10 Diesel has a powerful carbon-ceramic brakes and steer the rear axle as the new Porsche 911 GT3. At low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite corner of the front, to improve maneuverability. A high – in the same direction as the front, providing stability.
At the same time the company did not rule out the possibility that in the future the project could find continuation in the form of small-scale sports crossover.
