At the auto show in New York 2017 debut Extreme Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, the appearance of which I had to wait more than two years. Before us is the most powerful production version of this SUV in its history. The first information about this modification came in May 2015, and the trademark “Trackhawk” (can be translated as “ground hawk”) was registered earlier. Since then, the manufacturer led the work on the car’s launch into production. So what is the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk 2017-2018 years? Surprisingly, the appearance model is not much different for the usual Grand Cherokee SRT8 – sort of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Car issue except that four round pipe exhaust system instead of two, and a little restyled front end. Of course, such a powerful and fast car demanded brake pressure – there used six-piston Brembo front mechanisms and four-rear (brake discs 400 mm diameter front and 350 rear) to ensure the machine a complete stop from a speed of 96 km/h in just 35 meters. In addition, for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk 2018 was reconfigured 8-band machine – in “Track” mode, it goes through the transfer of 160 milliseconds, while the SUV is not lost and practical functions. For example, it still can tow a trailer weighing up to 3250 kg. And the company prudently equipped car special parking regime, limiting the maximum speed, torque and power, blocking the first gear, the switching function gearshift paddles and the ability to turn off the stabilization system.
