Yamaha introduced in Tokyo the ultralight concept

At the motor show in Tokyo in 2015, Yamaha introduced the public ultralight prototype Sports Ride Concept. Dimensions up sports coupe 3900, 1720 and 1170 mm in length, width and height, respectively, and the car weighs only 750 kg.

IStream A key feature is its high flexibility that lets you quickly and without significant cost or resize the platform to carry out restyling, replacing old with new body panels.
While representatives voiced Yamaha is not information about the power plant on the Sports Ride Concept, but there is speculation that the prototype received the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that was mounted on the above-mentioned CD Motiv. It is not excluded that the sports coupe engine boosted to 100 hp 80 against the initial forces.
In November, it was reported that the company plans to create a production version of the model based on the prototype Sports Ride – a car is present at the end of 2017, and its sales are to begin at the beginning of 2018.
