Volkswagen revealed terrain Beetle Dune Concept

Back in 2000, Volkswagen showed a concept Beetle Dune, and at the motor show in Detroit in 2014 the German manufacturer presented another prototype of the same name. However, the latter is much more close to serial car than fourteen-year-old project.

The basis of the concept Dune went hatchback Volkswagen Beetle 3 generation, which received increased ground clearance, big wheels, a modified bumper and all-terrain modest body kit with pads on the arches and sills.

In addition, Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept flaunts other rear-view mirrors, two spoilers, tinted rear light, and in the salon – the presence of additional off-road equipment in the center of the front panel and painted body color yellow accents in the design.

The movement of the vehicle resulting in 210 hp gasoline turbo engine from the series “Beetle”, is mounted in a pair with a robotic box DSG, transmitting traction on the front axle.

Later it became known that the all-terrain VW Beetle go into production – its appearance is scheduled for early 2016 And the car will be produced is not only in the hatchback, but also as a convertible.
