At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015 debuted the updated hot hatch Seat Ibiza Cupra and Leon Cupra. The latter received an upgraded exhaust system, so that the 2.0-liter turbo TSI in top-end specifications began to issue 290 forces against 280 previously.
Maximum torque remains unchanged at (350 Nm), but now it is available in a range from 1700 to 5800 rev/min, while the first was from 1750 to 5600 rev/min. The dynamic characteristics of Seat Leon Cupra 290 have not changed.
From zero to hundreds hatchback accelerates in 5.7 seconds (with the robot DSG), and the version on the mechanics of doing it in 5.8 seconds. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 290 kilometers per hour.
And the engineers were able to make the engine more economical – depending on the type of transmission, the average consumption in the combined cycle is declared at the level of 5.4 and 5.5 liters per hundred (manual transmission car with a little “voracious”). The surcharge was available package Sub8 Performance Pack with brake calipers Brembo, 19-inch wheels of special design and track tires Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.
