The updated Lexus LS (XF40) 2013, prices and equipment

At a special event in San Francisco, the company officially unveiled the updated Lexus LS sedan (XF40), based on the fourth generation, which is available since 2006.
Initially it was assumed that the Japanese automaker will present a completely new generation of its flagship model of Lexus LS, but in fact the Japanese are limited to retouch looks and upgraded interior.

Major exterior changes Lexus LS (2013) relating to its front and rear ends. The car got a new original radiator grille in the shape of an hourglass, a different front bumper and a raised hood.

The basic version of the sedan Lexus LS 460 (as extended modification of the LS 460 L) are still available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. In the first case, an upgraded V8 in volume of 4.6 liters produces 388 hp (493 Nm), while the second – 367 hp and 469 Nm. Both aggregated paired with eight-speed automatic transmission.
Under the hood, the hybrid Lexus LS 600h L was a 5.0-liter V8, which assisted by two electric motors. The total output of such an installation reaches 394 hp, providing acceleration sedan from zero to hundred in 5.5 seconds, spending a combined cycle average of 12.0 liters per hundred kilometers (according to the manufacturer).
In addition, from now on to become the flagship Lexus LS offers a version F Sport. Technically, this is the usual the LS 460 with all-wheel drive and the 4.6-liter “eight”. But this sedan sports a low 10 mm suspension, exclusive 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes and enhanced aerodynamic body kit with side “skirts”, a rear diffuser, a mesh grille and front bumper with enlarged air intakes.
It should also be noted migrated suspension, steering and brakes on other versions of the updated Lexus LS, due to which, according to the company. Prices for the new Lexus LS 2016 start at $74,100 for the base rear-wheel drive version of the LS 460 in the configuration Executive. 600h L hybrid sedan in the top-end performance estimated is $109,100.
