Tuners from VATH Performance studio already have in their portfolio Mercedes CL coupe, but then, in November 2009, the car has undergone revision in version AMG, and now German experts are ready to offer a package for a more modest version of the CL500, but in the same body C216. The first thing engineers VATH climbed under the hood to work on increasing performance 5.5-liter V8. By installing a new camshaft, a sports air filter, catalyst, stainless steel, and migration of the electronic unit ECU, tuners managed to “remove” from the engine 460 hp and 600 Nm of torque. In addition, owners of tuning Mercedes-Benz CL 500 (Mercedes-Benz SL-Class) from VATH will be allowed a few more – electronic “collar” speed limiter has been “weakened” from 250 to 290 km/h. It also led the work to strengthen the brakes and suspension migration, which has three modes of operation. Externally, the car got a front and rear spoilers and diffuser – all the elements are made of carbon fiber. Rounding out the picture of the external tuning coupe 20-inch forged wheels, “shod” in the tire dimensions 245/30ZR20 front and 285/25ZR20 – rear. Inside, specialists from VATH Performance offer a traditional finish of carbon black or other colors, some variants of the sports steering wheel, suede mats embroidered with the company logo and a new speedometer, the scale of which is marked to 360 km/h. The cost of improvements is not specified.
