Following the tuners from ABT, presented at the Geneva Motor Show modified Audi A8 sedan, its version of tuning for the new flagship sedan from Ingolstadt has proposed another German company – Hofele Design. According to a press release, the engineers from Hofele have reduced the acceleration of a large sedan from zero to one hundred km/h to 5.2 and 5.3 seconds, depending on the location of the engine under the hood. With petrol engine tuning A8 a tenth faster. Power standard 4.2-liter V8 FSI has been increased to 400 hp and 475 Nm of torque, while the TDI diesel provides 395 hp and 880 Nm. Average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 9.5 liters for the petrol engine and 7.6-liter – diesel. The Hofele Design took care also about strengthening the A8 braking system, six-piston calipers supplied it, and ventilated discs, which for a fee, can be replaced by ceramic. Adjustable suspension can decrease the clearance of 40-80 mm, depending on the speed. Externally tuning Audi A8 is distinguished by a new front bumper with larger air intakes, front fenders with air vents, the changed thresholds, a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser, four-pipe exhaust system and a spoiler on the trunk lid. And, of course, the big 20-inch wheels. The interior – upholstery quilted two-tone leather with Alcantara inserts and a new steering wheel. Prices of the packet for the A8 by Hofele has not been announced.
