At the Paris Motor Show 2016 will be a presentation of SUV SsangYong LIV-2 conceptual, made in the style of a prototype of LIV-1 presented to the public in 2013 at the motor show in Seoul. According to rumors, the concept SsangYong LIV-2 is a harbinger of the next generation Rexton models that Koreans are planning to build a new chassis ladder. Using the new “truck” will reduce utility vehicle weight by about 50 kg. It is interesting that in the future such a platform is also used in the development of a new generation of Korando Sports pickup. SsangYong Rexton Y400 will still be equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine, working in conjunction with the seven-speed automatic transmission Mercedes-Benz. In the current version of the model this engine produces 178 hp and 400 Nm. In addition, the next generation SUV will receive a petrol turbo engine and eight-automatic.
