Within the framework of the SEMA 2017 tuning show, a special version of the crossover Toyota CH-R was presented. The novelty, developed by joint efforts of specialists of the Japanese brand and the company DG-Spec, was called R-Tuned. The modification has an aerodynamic body kit with a carbon fiber hood. At maximum speed, the body kit elements generate 136 kg of downforce. During braking, the overload can reach 1.2 g, and the lateral acceleration value for cornering – up to 1.7 g. Toyota CH-R R-Tuned was equipped with a 2.4-liter engine with forged pistons and connecting rods. The engine is equipped with a turbocharger Garrett with a boost pressure of 1.6 bar. Working in conjunction with the 5-speed mechanics, this unit produces 600 hp. The SUV has received race springs, as well as stainless steel intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves. Plus in the list of equipment modifications include a custom suspension, adjustable anti-roll bars, Brembo brakes and a self-locking differential on the front axle.
