Seat presented in Frankfurt Leon Cross Sport

The Spaniards brought to the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 Concept Seat Leon Cross Sport, which is based on the three-door Leon SC Cupra and combines the dynamics and handling hot hatch along with the potential SUV.
Unlike the original hatch, Seat Leon Cross Sport Concept was increased by 41 mm ground clearance (195 mm) and a protective plastic on the perimeter of the body kit with modified bumpers, other pipes of the exhaust system and the original 19-inch wheels.
But under the hood is mounted 2.0-liter gasoline turbo with 300 hp from the Volkswagen Golf 7 R, which is 10 forces more powerful than top-end modification Leon Cupra. So this all-terrain “charged” hatchback is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Last but not least thanks to the AWD system.
Link to the wheels on the rear axle Seat Leon Cross Sport passed by an electronically controlled Haldex coupling of the fifth-generation plus transmission used recently developed by the multi-plate clutch with hydraulic drive. Initially it was assumed that in the future, this model can go into series, but in December 2015 the head of the design studio Seat Angel Laos in an interview with Autocar denied this information.
According to him, the problems with the launch of this vehicle into production there, but the main objective of the project was to test the company’s own resources – whether they are able to design and build a car. As a result, in Seat managed and prove to themselves that they can.
