The Mazda company is forced to send to repair 20 030 crossovers CX-5, sold in the period from November 2012 to September 2015. The recall campaign will only affect cars, in the list of equipment of which the parking brake with a cable drive is listed.
The cause of the service action is the insufficient tightness of the rear brake caliper cover. This is fraught with corrosion of the parts of the mechanism, which, in turn, leads to a decrease in the parking brake force.
Mazda’s dealerships promise to check brake calipers, replacing protective covers. If the service finds signs of corrosion, then the mechanisms themselves will be replaced.
All works within the revocable campaign will be free of charge, while the list of VIN-numbers of the CX-5 to be repaired is already published on the website.
