Presented racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R

In March 2017, as part of the Pirelli World Challenge Championship (Florida, USA), Chevrolet presented the race version of the coupe Camaro 6 under the name GT4.R. Sales model racing teams began in late September.
The modification is based on the track version of the ZL1 1LE and is adapted to the requirements of the younger category GT4, in which only cars with a minimum number of modifications can participate.
Outside, this car can be distinguished by the presence of an aerodynamic body kit made of carbon fiber, consisting of a different front bumper, splitter and spoiler. Carbon fiber also made a hood and doors. On the wheels of the car there are special 18-inch wheels.
The company notes that the development of the new Camaro GT4.R was carried out jointly with Pratt & Miller. The racing version received a 6.2-liter atmospheric V8 engine with a dry crankcase and a six-speed sequential Xtrac transmission. The engine has an intake of carbon fiber and modernized camshafts, while its output reaches 480 hp.
In addition, the coupé was equipped with more powerful six-piston brakes from Brembo, an increased friction differential Xtrac, a racing suspension with adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers, and an adjustable ABS.
