Peugeot Company has prepared for rally-raid Dakar and several other races the new rear-drive prototype, which was named 3008 DRK. Note that the SUV has been developed in collaboration with BF Goodrich, Red Bull, Sparco and Total.
Peugeot 3008 DKR built around a tubular frame, with its body panels made of carbon fiber. In the prototype length reaches 4312 mm and a maximum width – 2200 mm. Wheelbase is 3000 millimeters. The SUV also manned enough surround the fuel tank capacity of 400 liters.

Front and rear SUV suspension was double wishbone. Furthermore, the French installed at each wheel suspension for two and one spring.
The movement of the Peugeot 3008 DKR lead 3.0-liter diesel V6 with two turbines. Giving motor working in conjunction with a six-speed sequential transmission, it achieves 340 hp and 800 Nm.The dynamics of dispersal racing prototype is not specified, but we know that the maximum speed can reach 200 km/h.
The new 3008 DKR is expected to debut on the rally-raid in Morocco, which will be held from 3 to 7 October 2016, while the pilot sits behind the wheel of the Peugeot factory team, Carlos Sainz. Well, with 1 to 14 January 2017 the novelty can be seen on the rally-raid Dakar in South America.
