The Peugeot prepared for domestic auto show concept Quartz

At the 2014 Paris Motor Show, Peugeot will present the public their new conceptual crossover, called Quartz. The prototype is equipped with a 499-strong hybrid, composed of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 270 hp (330 Nm), a pair of electric motors and dedicated six automatic transmission.
The French say that the power plant at the Peugeot Quartz has three different modes: electric (ZEV), road (ROAD) and race (RACE). In the first case, the car rides on electric alone, with the power reserve is about 50 km. When activated, the road used by the ICE mode and the motor on the front axle and in race mode use the potential of all engines.
The basis for the Peugeot Quartz Concept served as a modular chassis EMP2, which is used in the new Citroen C4 Picasso 2 and the Peugeot 308 2. The concept car length of 4.5 meters and a width of 2.06 m.
The prototype installed 23-inch wheels, plus it has automatic air suspension, which is focusing on the data from the cameras and navigation system alone is capable of changing the ride height in the range of 300-350 mm.
Another point of pride of the French Peugeot is that the concept of interior decoration Quartz used unique material – the so-called “digital textile” (digitally woven textile), poluchaesmy resulting from the processing of conventional plastic bottles.
However, the basic material for upholstery served yet high-quality leather, which is lined with not only the chair, but the floor, the ceiling and even the door panels!
Peugeot expects that Quartz produce a real sensation at the Paris Motor Show, and in addition to the 499-strong French crossover manufacturer also introduced an updated version of the prototype Exalt, which was first shown to the public in the spring in Beijing.
