Opel has shared details on the updated Insignia 2012 model year, which, contrary to expectations, has not changed in appearance, having a different pattern wheels and an additional option body color in the color of Luxor.
The main changes were the technical part. Now, instead of a 1.8-liter engine in the Opel Insignia 2012 will be mounted turbocharged 1.4-liter 140 hp ecoFLEX (200 Nm), which is mounted in a pair with a 6-speed manual.
On the 17-inch wheels, “shod” in the tires with reduced rolling resistance, “start/stop” and aerodinmicheskim body kit, average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 5.7 liters per hundred, the acceleration time from zero to 100 km/h – 10.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 km/h.
All-wheel drive modification updated Opel Insignia 2012 will now be equipped with the upgraded 2.0-liter turbo engine, an outstanding 250 hp (400 Nm), which is 30 hp 50 nm and more than ever before.
Working in tandem with a six-speed mechanics, the car with the engine gaining a hundred places at 7.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Finally, the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit on front-Insignia 2012 model year produces 220 “horses” and is equipped with the “start/stop”. Coupled with tires with reduced rolling resistance and aerodynamic, it is possible to reduce fuel consumption to 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers, which is 0.5 l/100 km less than before.
Debut of new items will be held at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the same will be announced and the price.
