A couple of days before the official premiere in Geneva, the company De Tomaso presented new photos of his crossover, known as SLC. The Italian company was founded by Alejandro de Tomaso in 1959 and engaged in production of sports and luxury cars, has not yet gone bankrupt in 2004. At the moment it is steering the former CEO of the concern Fiat – Gianmario Rossignolo, who set a goal to revive the legendary brand. According to the plans of the current head of the De Tomaso, company will produce three models, including a sports coupe, sedan and crossover, production of which has been decided to start. Start production crossover De Tomaso SLC is planned for this year, but only plans to produce 3 000 vehicles per year. The car will be offered with one of two engine choices: a 550-strong “eight” more modest V6 engine 300 hp It will also be available, and all-wheel drive version. The sedan and sports coupe from De Tomaso will appear later, they will be produced annually in the number of 3 000 and 2 000 pieces, respectively. Production organized near Turin on the former factory of the company Pininfarina, as well as in the city of Livorno.
