New Nissan Qashqai and Juke will have electric versions

Head of the development of environmental models of Nissan Gareth Dunsmore division said that the company is considering the release of electrical modifications Qashqai and Juke crossover. According to him, the company is a leading manufacturer Nissan as the crossovers and electric cars (due Leaf model), and in the future, the Japanese brand specialists plan to start production of electric crossover. At the moment, Nissan is working on a new platform, which will form the basis of such models. It is expected that the new chassis is versatile enough, and it will be possible to build a model with internal combustion engine, and with a fully electric power plants. This chassis will be ready no earlier than 2021. Dunmer also sees great potential in the small compact electric cars, so it is possible that in the future, Nissan will also appear a whole family of such machines.
