Morgan Aero 8 received a farewell modification called Aero GT. The premiere of the novelty took place at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018. Outside, the Aero GT is distinguished by the presence of a special aerodynamic body kit, the elements of which are made with the application of computational fluid dynamics methods. Stylistically, such a body kit in many ways resembles a racing version of the Aero 8, with the coupe receiving additional flaps and a diffuser. Being built on an aluminum chassis, the new Morgan Aero GT weighs only 1,180 kg. The car was equipped with an adjustable suspension, and in motion, it leads the 4.8-liter V8 engine from BMW. Note that the production of this unit is already terminated so that the “farewell” modification of the sports car was the last model with a similar power unit. Working in conjunction with the six-speed mechanics (also Bavarian production), this engine develops 372 hp. and 490 Nm of torque. As a result, from a place to a hundred, the Morgan Aero GT can accelerate in 4.5 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 273 km / h. The circulation of the modification will be only 8 copies, with all the cars already sold out. Experts of the British brand note that the production of one such sports car requires 8 to 10 weeks, and the company is constantly in contact with customers, taking into account all the wishes of customers.
