Mitsubishi PX-MiEV 2 Concept at Tokyo Motor Show 2011

One of them became a PX-MiEV II crossover, which is a continuation of the ideological concept PX-MiEV 2009.
The car, according to the company, almost completely ready for production. In fact, PX-MiEV II is a preliminary look at the Mitsubishi Outlander 3 generations. As the designer of the project – Reysuke Matsuoke, for the organization of serial production of “just enough to change the mirror”.
As the main power unit Mitsubishi PX-MiEV II uses a hybrid platform which consists of a pair of electric motors – one for each of the axes and gasoline 4-cylinder 2.0 liter engine. This combination can work both together and separately.
Petrol has two functions – recharges the electric motors and helps them to provide better dynamics. With the use of the internal combustion engine fuel consumption PX-MiEV II is just 2.0 liters per 100 kilometers, while the Crossover can cover up to 50 kilometers solely on electric.
Updated: eventually the concept has become a production version of the hybrid crossover Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 2012.
