On September 10 opens the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013 presented a prototype of a racing sedan Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Racing Series Concept, which in the future may be used in various racing series.
The car is built on the basis of the standard Mercedes CLA 45 AMG, fitted with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine, issuing 360 “horses” and a peak torque of 450 Nm, which is transmitted to all wheels through a 7-band robotized transmission AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT.
This concept of racing Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Racing Series was developed aerodynamic body kit with a new front bumper and splitter, extended wheel arches and side skirts, large static wing on the trunk lid and a diffuser integrated into the rear bumper.
Inside the sedan installed roll cage and racing bucket seats, and steering wheel. Door panels replaced with carbon fiber, and all the extra trim removed to reduce the weight of the car. More specific details about the project will be announced later.
