Mercedes-Benz patented a water-cooling system of tires

Mercedes-Benz specialists successfully patented in the UK the new technology water-cooling or heating of tires. For the work of the system responsible sensors. They periodically measure the tire temperature and water is sprayed onto the surface of the tire, if necessary, a fence which is made from a special tank. According to the German developers, such a solution protects the tires from overheating during fast driving or in hot weather. The patented technology is also able to protect the tires from icing and preventing the pressure drop at low temperatures. For this purpose, the tire is already sprayed with hot water. It is known that the design of the system allows you to automatically fill the tank of liquid water from the windscreen and rear window, which gets back to the washer or during rain/snow.
