At the auto show in Los Angeles, 2016, the world premiere of “charged” sedan Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC in the new W213 body. But the photos and all the details about the new product manufacturer issued a few weeks before the opening of the exhibition.
As expected, the seemingly new Mercedes-AMG E63 2017-2018 not too much different from the standard E-Class W213. Here, different grille with wide edge and vertical bars, more aggressive front bumper with enlarged air intakes, side “skirts”, carbon spoiler on the trunk lid and cover on the front wings.

Besides addition, E 63 AMG 2017 in a new body stands diffuser in the rear bumper, a quartet of exhaust pipes, housings made of carbon fiber rear view mirrors, and extended wheel arches. Default here 19-inch wheels, while the top-end S modifications are wheel diameter of 20″.
Inside, the model fitted sports seats and steering wheel, interior trim in carbon fiber inserts are used, plus change the schedule on the instrument panel. But the main thing, of course, in such a car – it is a technical stuffing, which here has undergone significant changes.
The new Mercedes-AMG E63 W213 2017-2018 refused to be put to the predecessor’s 5.5-liter V8 with two turbines, which gave way to the more modern “eight” biturbo working volume of 4.0 liters. In the basic version of the sedan’s engine produces 571 hp and 750 Nm of torque, while the E63 S managed to raise capacity to 612 “horses” and 850 Nm. Thus, we have the most powerful serial “E” in history.
The car lost the rear-wheel modification, so that now both options by default equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a 9-band automatic transmission AMG Speedshift MCT with a manual shift function gearshift paddles. On acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h sedan spends 3.5 seconds and a 612-hp Mercedes-AMG E63 S does it in 3.3 seconds.
The maximum speed of both modifications is limited at around 250 kilometers per hour, but at a charge limiter can be pushed up to 300 km/h. When activated, “Comfort” mode the engine is able to turn off half the cylinders under light loads to reduce fuel consumption. A top-end variant equipped with mode “Drift”, in which the lion’s share of the thrust is directed to the rear axle, allowing you to effectively drive the car in a controlled drift.
Also on the part of the art new Mercedes E63 AMG (W213) 2017 was migrated suspension Air Body Control and steering, mechanical rear differential lock is completely disconnected the ESP system with three modes, as well as powerful brakes with 360 mm discs at the front (with Six-piston calipers) and rear (single piston).
At the same time on the E 63 S 4MATIC front brake discs are 390 mm, and can be ordered with carbon-ceramic brakes – while the front wheels are altogether 402 mm, and the rear – 360.

Sales of the new Mercedes-AMG E63 W213 in Europe will start in spring 2017 and in the US – in the summer. The base sedan with engine capacity of 571 hp ask for a minimum of $117,000, and the top-end E 63 S and drift mode will cost in the amount of $130,000.
In addition, in March at the Geneva Motor Show debut “charged” versatile E63 Estate S213 with similar technical stuffing.
