McLaren introduced racing MP4-12C GT3

Automotive division of the British company McLaren Automotive, together with CRS Racing team prepared a racing version of the supercar McLaren MP4-12C for his participation in the competition class GT3, including the FIA GT world championship and the 24-hour race at Le Mans.
The car was developed aerodynamic body kit, including front splitter, a massive diffuser and adjustable rear wing. Under the hood is McLaren MP4-12C GT3 500-strong motor V8 twin-turbo 3.8-liter that mated to a 6-speed sequential transmission Ricardo.
In addition, the racing version of the new supercar McLaren fitted with a custom sports suspension, powerful brakes firms Akebono, an improved cooling system, as well as inlet migrated and new exhaust system.
The debut of the car on the race track will be held in late May at the Spanish circuit of Navarra (Circuito de Navarra). As the pilots invited Oliver Turvey, known for his performances in the series GP2 Asia, as well as Alvaro Parente – the champion of the Formula Renault 3.5.
For the 2012 racing season will be built 20 combat MP4-12C GT3 cars and as many more in the next two years. With a new car in the McLaren hoping to repeat the success of 1995, when the racing version of the F1 GTR won McLaren the 24-hour race at Le Mans first time.
