The new Maserati sedan to be built on the basis of Chrysler 300C

Earlier it was reported that the company plans to expand the range of Maserati models produced by introducing into it a sedan, which will take position on the step below the Quattroporte.
It is expected that the future will get a new name Levante, but it will form the basis of the platform of the US Chrysler 300C.
Both cars will be equipped with gasoline “eight” (probably developed by engineers Ferrari), and for the Maserati Levante will also be offered a more modest 400-hp turbo V6 from Chrysler and the 300-horsepower six-cylinder diesel.
Aggregated all engines will be paired with an eight-automatic ZF, and optional for Levante can be ordered four-wheel drive. The debut of the new Quattroporte is scheduled for Detroit Auto Show in 2013, and his “little brother” should show in the autumn of next year at the motor show in Frankfurt.
