New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept

Yesterday, the day before the premiere at the Paris Motor Show, was declassified Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept, and journalists today officially introduced the car. Name supercar translated as “sixth element”, meaning the carbon located in the periodic system at number six. Carbon fiber was the main key feature of the concept, because it is made from not only the body of the car, but also many other elements. We recently quoted Stephan Winkelmann – Head of Lamborghini, who spoke at length about the fact that carbon is widely used in future models of the company. A concept Sesto Elemento is a kind of demonstration of how far the Italians advanced to the study and application of this material to build cars. All this has allowed to make a supercar as easy. The dry weight of the Sesto Elemento is only 999 kg. For comparison, the most lightweight Lamborghini LP 570-4 Superleggera supercar weighs 1340 kg. By the way, ten-power unit concept is borrowed from the LP 570-4 Superleggera. 570 hp shot with 5.7 liters of volume and all-wheel drive, able to disperse the light Sesto Elemento Concept from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed supercar is much higher than 300 km/h. Introduced the concept is likely to remain a concept. Some solutions used in the “sixth element” will necessarily be applied to production models Lamborghini, the nearest of which should be the Aventador LP700-4, created to replace the Murcielago.
