KIA declassified the updated crossover Sportage 4 for the European market. The model received minor adjustments to the exterior, but the main changes occurred under the hood. While the Koreans showed only a restyling version of the SUV in GT Line performance, which differs from a similar pre-reform machine with other bumpers and “half-cut” anti-fog sections. The all-terrain vehicle also boasts a new radiator grille and a modified optics design. Plus, the model has received several new body colors and a modified design of the wheels, which can be ordered in sizes from 16 to 19 inches. As for the technical stuffing, the Koreans abandoned the previous 1.7-liter CRDi U2 turbodiesel in favor of the new 1.6-liter unit of the U3 family with a urea exhaust gas neutralization system. Such a motor complies with the Euro 6d-TEMP eco-norms and, depending on the degree of boost, develops 115 or 136 hp. A more powerful option can be ordered with a seven-step robot and all-wheel drive. And the all-terrain vehicle got a version of EcoDynamics +. The system operates under the voltage of 48 volts. At the Kia Sportage, the hybrid superstructure is combined with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, the payback of which has not yet been announced.
