At the Geneva Motor Show 2017 held the world premiere of the updated Infiniti Q50 sedan 2018 model year. In fact, the changes in the car was quite a bit, and the whole range of engines and all remained the same. Externally, the new Infiniti Q50 got a little retouched bumper and grille with a mesh pattern modified tail lights in the rear lights and retouched head optics. Modification S has got more aggressive bumpers. Inside, the sedan trim materials have been improved, new steering wheel and the transmission selector, branded multimedia InTouch system flaunts two large color screen in the center console, and the extra charge was made available Bose sound system with 16 speakers, creating a surround sound effect. New Infiniti Q50 2017 model equipped with a function ProPilot, which can be activated on the highway at speeds above 70 km/h. She is able to independently control the car, keeping it in the selected zone and maintaining a set distance to the vehicle ahead. The system includes adaptive cruise control, monitoring the “blind” zones and marking, as well as to prevent frontal collision with automatic braking. Q50 sales with this system will begin in 2018, and later ProPilot appear on all models Infiniti brand.
We recall that in 2016 the sedan received an upgraded steering system DAS (Direct Adaptive Steering), which has no direct connection between the steering wheel and the wheels (so-called by-wire control). It is possible to improve the sensitivity and feedback, which at first caused some criticism. In addition to the Infiniti Q50 2017-2018 is available electronically controlled shock absorbers, which can change the settings via the Drive Mode system. The latter has six modes: Personal, Sport, Sport +, Standard, Eco and Snow. As the power units available for the sedan 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine capacity of 211 hp, turbocharged diesel with a working volume of 2.1 liters with 168 returns in force, as well as hybrid propulsion system 360 “horses”, composed of includes 3.5 liter naturally aspirated V6 and the electric motor. On top of range located modification Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 with the new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo series VR30 with direct injection that produces 405 hp and 475 Nm of torque available in the range of 1600 to 5200 rev/min. The drive can be either rear or full, and combines all engines exclusively mated to a 7-band automatic. In the United States Q50 is also available with a more modest version of the engine (305 hp and 400 Nm), but to us this version does not deliver. On acceleration from zero to hundreds of all-wheel drive Infiniti Q50 with the top engine needed 5.4 seconds and its top speed is limited at around 250 km/h.
