The hybrid BMW i8 coupe received a modified motor from the M6

Tuners German studio Gabura Racing Technologies presented their new project – a special version of the coupe BMW i8. They decided to abandon the hybrid power plant model in favor of the 4.4-liter V8 engine with twin turbo, borrowed from the BMW the M6.
In a similar version of the M6 this unit develops 560 hp, but it was not enough tuners. They appealed to the studio the Alpina, where engine performance increased by more than 200 hp.
It is known that the forced motor installed in front of the machine – where in the standard version i8 located motor. Open a new unit is paired with a six-speed sequential transmission, situated at the rear.
Unfortunately, the company Gabura Racing Technologies has not yet voiced the dynamic characteristics of the car, as the project is still at the development stage.
