Honda is preparing a new crossover with the old name

The company Honda is preparing for the premiere of a new crossover to close a niche between CR-V and large Pilot, To revive the model name of the Passport, so once called perelitsovanny SUV Isuzu Rodeo, which Honda sold in North America under its own name.

The company badly needs a medium-sized crossover, not only for the North American market but for the Chinese as well as for Europe, where Korean brands are widely represented.

The new crossover will be built on the Pilot base, but it will be shortened by about 150 mm, and the Passport design is more dynamic and sporty. The car in the top version will be equipped with a 3.5-liter gasoline “atmospheric” with a capacity of 284 hp. More simple options will receive a 2-liter turbo engine.

Most likely Honda Passport will be presented at the motor show in Los Angeles November this year.
