The German company Gumpert has announced plans to present at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 in March their new supercar Tornante. Design trends was commissioned to design the Italian body studio Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. At the moment, produces a single model Gumpert Apollo (pictured), its debut was also at the motor show in Geneva, but in 2007. Unlike Apollo, the new supercar Tornante should become more elegant and comfortable and spacious inside. While details of the new Tornante of Gumpert is little known. The car should get a carbon fiber monocoque and chassis, lightweight body panels are made of composite materials, as well as a centrally located eight-cylinder engine. The characteristics of the power unit were not disclosed, but the Gumpert Apollo is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8, issuing 650 hp (850 Nm) and is able to gain a hundred places in just 3.1 seconds and its top speed of 360 km/h.
