A little-known Spano company from Spain presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 the first in the history of Spanish supercar called the GTA Spano. The development of this project has been spent almost five years. The manufacturer pays special attention to the design of GTA Spano, the development of which the goal was to create a vivid and memorable image, but it does not copy any solutions used in other cars. Supercar also has a rare car of this class is equipped with a glass roof and adjustable rear wing. The model lay a solid monocoque made of carbon fiber, Kevlar and titanium. Its weight is 80 kg and the weight of the entire vehicle is 1 350 kg. All the body panels are made of lightweight carbon fiber. Initially GTA Spano equipped with 8.4-liter motor V10 power of 820 hp at and 960 Nm of torque at peak. Thrust is transmitted to the rear axle via a 7-speed manual or sequential gearbox. But at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 the manufacturer presented a modified version of a supercar with an upgraded engine, the impact of which was increased to 900 “horses” and maximum torque increased to 000 Nm 1. The latter even had to force is electronically limited to sustain transmission. With him GTA Spano is accelerated from zero to hundred in 2.9 seconds and its top speed of 370 km/h. For comparison, a similar dynamic characteristics are latest Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1. But supercar from Spain was more exclusive product – only plans to build only 99 such machines. Price Spano GTA is not known, but estimated it will be about 700,000 euros.
New GTA Spano 2017.
The company upgraded its serious Spano supercar GTA, a new version of which was presented at the motor show in Geneva 2015. Now the body is made of carbon fiber supercar, Kevlar, titanium and graphite. This exterior GTA Spano (2017) has not changed much – the car has received new bumpers, paraphrased lighting equipment, a larger rear wing form a four pipe exhaust system against the two earlier and lining on the hood made of carbon fiber. The former 900-strong ten-liter engine capacity of 8.4 was replaced by a new 8.0-liter V10 with two turbines, which produces 925 “horses” (1220 Nm) and is combined in a pair with seven-speed automatic transmission with manual shift (used to be ILAC). But surprisingly, despite the lighter body, the weight of the new GTA Spano 2016 was 50 kg more (1 400 kg) than before. As a result, a small increase in power offset weight gain, so that the dynamic performance of a supercar remained the same: 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h top speed and claimed more than 370 kilometers per hour. Copies of the new GTA Spano is limited to 99 copies of the same as that of the previous version, but the price of the model is not specified.
