The Goodwood presented racing coupe McLaren 650S GT3

In 2011, the company introduced the McLaren racing modification of its supercar MP4-12C, to get to the title GT3 console. And on the Festival of Speed ​​at Goodwood in 2014 the presentation of the racing coupe McLaren 650S GT3, representing an evolution of the previous model.
Exterior changes and new items were were limited to only a few re-registration of the extended front fascia and 52 mm peredneey track, and the engine and do the same – it’s a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo 500 hp(aggregated paired with a new six-speed sequential gearbox), which is 150 fewer forces than the road version of the 650S. But these are the current FIA requirements for this class of machine.
At the same time, engineers have improved the cooling of the power unit, upgraded suspension, a more powerful brakes (six-piston discs 380 mm diameter front and four with 355-millimeter discs – rear), and developed for the car a completely new security framework, which proved to be stronger and lighter than the previous and also possible to increase the available space for the head and legs of the pilot.
The debut of the new McLaren 650S GT3 racing in competitions held in 2015. By that time, the company will build 15 cars worth 330,000 pounds (about 562,000 US dollars) each. And for those who continue to use the MP4-12C the GT3, will be released service pack, which will bring the car to a more modern modifications (the price is not specified).
