Electric BMW iX3 Concept will go on series in 2020

wAt the Beijing Motor Show in 2018, the premiere of the conceptual electric crossover BMW iX3, built on the basis of the conventional X3 (G01). The prototype is a forerunner of the serial model of the same name, which is being developed as part of the company’s strategy for the introduction of electrical installations of the fifth generation. Externally the electric car repeats the source, but here we installed other bumpers, and the branded “nostrils” of the radiator grilles were filled with a plastic cap with a stylized pattern. It is expected that a similar design solution will be used on other BMW electric models. Under the rear wheel of the BMW iX3 Concept, a charging connector was placed, and another German charger was placed on the left front wing. The interior of the SUV in the company was chosen not to be shown yet. It is known that the concept is equipped with a 270-horsepower electric motor, receiving energy from a set of batteries with a capacity of about 70 kWh. The claimed power reserve is 400 km (for the WLTP cycle), and for a full charge from a 150 kW station it takes slightly more than half an hour.
