In Detroit showed 482-strong Ford Mustang Bullitt

The rumors about the emergence of a new generation of Ford Mustang Bullitt oil car were true – the presentation of the novelty was held at the January Auto Show in Detroit 2018. The car was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bullitt movie, starring Steve McQueen.

On the basis of the model took the Mustang S-550, equipping it with packages GT Premium and Performance. Outside, the car was stripped of color strips on the body, spoilers, and flashy logos. According to the chief designer Darrell Behmer, in this simplicity of appearance lies all the charm of Bullitt.

However, the machine is not devoid of unique features. Her body can be painted either in the classic dark green shade of Dark Highland Green or in black Shadow Black, while in both cases, the point chrome accents are used.

Additionally, Ford Mustang Bullitt 2018-2019 has a different grille and flaunts 19-inch wheels with bright red brake calipers from Brembo. As for the interior, the inside is fitted with a leather steering wheel, a classic gear lever with a round white knob and a 12-inch digital set.

In the movement of the oil, car leads modernized 5.0-liter engine V8, the output of which was increased to 482 hp. (569 Nm). The motor works in conjunction with the six-speed mechanics, providing a maximum speed of 263 km/h (+13).

Also, the sports car was equipped with a reconfigured active exhaust and an intake manifold with 87-millimeter throttle, borrowed from the “charged” Shelby GT350. Plus the car was equipped with another engine control unit.

As for the options, customers can order the adaptive MagneRide suspension, the leather-covered Recaro sports seats, and the Electronic package for an additional charge. The latter includes an advanced audio system, seat position memory, navigation, and a number of electronic assistants. The company has not yet announced the launch date of the new Mustang Bullitt, nor its price.
