The lineup of the Chinese company Maxus, part of the SAIC concern, was supplemented by the flagship model – the large frame off-road vehicle D90. Maxus D90 salon is trimmed with leather and Alcantara, and, depending on the version, it can be three-, four-, five-, six-, seven- and even eight-seater. Such a large number of configurations is due to the fact that the last (optional) row is offered exclusively as a solid sofa, but the second row can be ordered either with separate chairs or with a traditional three-seater sofa. Also, if the client wants, the front passenger seat can be replaced with a special bedside table that can be used for storing things or as a footrest. Being built on the basis of the Maxus T60 pickup truck, the D90 SUV reaches a length, width and height of 5,005, 1,932 and 1,875 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the model is 2,950 mm. Instead of a rifled bridge, an independent suspension is used here, while the ground clearance of the model is 210 millimeters. In the future, the Chinese are planning to release a diesel version of the SUV, while for the Maxus D90 only 2.0-liter petrol turbo-quarter-capacity of 224 hp is available, paired with a five-speed mechanics, or a six-speed automatic. The drive is both rear and full. In the list of equipment, D90 appear multimedia with a 12.3-inch touchpad, panoramic roof with a hatch, heated and ventilation seats, a system for the contactless opening of the trunk and three-zone climate control. In addition, a wide range of various electronic assistants and security systems is available for the SUV. The price of the new Maxus D90 in China is from 24 000 to 40 000 dollars. In the future, the car will be supplied to Australia, but there is no information on the appearance of the model in other markets.
