In China, at the Auto Show in Chengdu 2017 premiere hybrid modification of the crossover Cadillac XT5. While the novelty is offered exclusively for the local market, but in the future, the car should appear outside the Celestial Empire.
The power plant of such an all-terrain vehicle is based on a standard 266-strong petrol turbo-quarter, but instead of the usual eight-speed automatic, the engine works in conjunction with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The latter is additionally docked with an electric motor, which develops only 9 forces and 49 Nm of torque. Power for its work, it draws from a battery voltage of 90 V and a capacity of 0.45 kWh, with the battery located behind the back of the sofa – right between the wheel arches.
At one electric power, the hybrid Cadillac XT5 can only go a short time, and the main task of the electric motor is to help the petrol engine with accelerations. The battery is recharged both during braking and during driving at a constant speed when the electric motor starts operating in the regenerative mode.
In running order, the Cadillac XT5 Hybrid, which is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive, was 110 kg heavier than the petrol version, while the average fuel consumption for the passport was reduced from 8.7 to 7.9 liters per 100 km.
In China, such XT5 can be bought in one of two rich complete sets – Advanced and Platinum. For the first ask 72 200 dollars, and for the second – $ 81 400.
