Car of the Year 2012 in Europe became Opel Ampera

At the Geneva Motor Show opened today announced the winner of “European Car of the Year 2012”, which became a hybrid sedan Opel Amperta, who collected 330 points. Second place, with a significant lag, took the compact hatchback Volkswagen up! (281 points) and closed the top three Ford Focus 3 (256 points). The rest of the cars that were released the seven finalists in the following order: Range Rover Evoque (186 points), Fiat Panda in 2012 (156 points), Citroen DS5 (144 points) and the new Toyota Yaris (122 points). It is noteworthy that last year the European Car of the Year was the electric Nissan Leaf, and the Chevrolet Volt – a double Opel Ampera marked as the winner of the North American car of the year, and “green” car of the year.
