The latter implies that the machine is assembled from pre-prepared parts, including chassis parts, powertrain components, and bodywork elements. In 2015, this method of assembly came up with Gordon Murray – the designer of the legendary McLaren F1.
As part of the design, the new TVR Griffith stands out with smooth body contours, an incredibly long bonnet and a cab that is maximally shifted to the rear axle with thin rear pillars, a sloping roof that is ejected from the front wheel arches by the exhaust pipes, a massive diffuser and a retractable rear spoiler.
The length, width, and height of the TVR Griffith reaches 4,314, 1,850 and 1,239 mm, respectively. In the equipped condition the coupe weighs 1,250 kg, while the new model can boast an ideal weighting along the axes.
The rear-wheel-drive TVR Griffith is driven by a 5.0-liter “eight” from the Ford Mustang located behind the front axle but additionally modified by Cosworth specialists.
Working in conjunction with the 6-speed mechanics Termec, the motor develops 506 hp. This stuffing allows the sports car to shoot from a place to a hundred in less than 4.0 seconds, developing a speed of more than 320 km/h.
The TVR Griffith wheels are equipped with 19- and 20-inch disks in front and behind, respectively. For braking in front meet 370-millimeter ventilated brakes, and behind – 350-millimeter. In the base of the coupe is equipped with adjustable shock absorbers and electric power steering.
The first batch of sports cars will be released in 500 copies. These two-door will become the so-called series Launch Edition. Acceptance of orders for cars has already started, the price of the new TVR Griffith starts from 90,000 pounds (98,500 euros). Deliveries of the first machines to customers are planned for 2019.
