New BMW 1-Series (F21) 2016, prices and equipment

Almost a year has passed since the debut of the second generation BMW 1-Series 5D , a version of the new items in the back of a three-door hatchback presented in May of 2012. And it’s a bit strange, since cars are identical in appearance. Of course, three-doors wider doorway and doors themselves deprived of window frames, but otherwise no differences. Dimensions of both versions are the same as: length 4324 mm, width – 1765, height – 1421, the value of the wheelbase – 2690 mm.

According to the automaker, the new BMW 1-Series 3D (F21) can boast an increase of 21 mm rear legroom of passengers and amount of luggage up to 30 liters – to 360 liters (with folded down back sofa, its volume up to 1 200 l). In addition, with the debut of three-doors in the engine range appeared very modest 1.6-liter petrol engine capacity of 102 hp (180 Nm). This 1-Series received index 114i and is able to gain a hundred places at 11.2 seconds and a top speed of 195 km/h. With six mechanics this version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, with an eight-gun – 4.9 s, and in the version with four-wheel drive xDrive time is reduced to 4.7 at all. The maximum speed is limited in all cases to 250 km/h.
In addition, the new BMW M135i flaunts package M-Performance, which includes 18-inch wheels, sport suspension, recustomized steering, upgraded brakes, an aggressive aerodynamic body kit and sports seats in the cabin. At the time of the sales for the base 116i three-door requested by $31,000, and the more powerful version 118i estimated $3,400 expensive. Price a top BMW M 235i started from $62,400, a surcharge for all-wheel drive and automatic – $68,000.

At the Geneva Motor Show debut in 2015 renovated three (F21) and five-door (F20) hatchback BMW 1-Series 2016 model year, the details of which became known in January.
The base engine for the hatchback is now available 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engines. Both are combined in a pair with a 6-speed manual, but is available as an option and an 8-band automatic. The list of options for the BMW 1-Series 3D 2016 appeared adaptive cruise control and automatic parking mode available both parallel and perpendicular parking. Start selling new products scheduled for May 23, 2015, the price has not been announced.
